Lousa Mink, SHS '08, is rowing for Columbia University. After having had a successful Freshman rowing season, and stroking her boat to a 4th place in Eastern Sprints, she is preparing for her second season doing winter conditioning, and will be going to Florida with the Columbia team during Christmas break for some warm water rowing.

Erin Lee, SHS '09 - This past fall season, Erin started her freshman year rowing in the Womens Varsity lightwieght 8 at Stetson University in DeLand, Florida. Erin says: "Being a small Division I team, we train hard to keep up with the larger division I schools that we row against. Early morning and afternoon practices were long and hard but worth it. Being a Florida school is great - we can work on the water all winter - no erging in a cage like northern schools! I can't wait for the spring season to start - and I hope to get a chance to cox as well."
Candice Webb, SHS '06 - Candice Webb rowed on the SHS crew team for four years before being recruited by the crew coach at Drexel University in Philadelphia. She had a 3/4-tuition scholarship for her first three years at Drexel and a full-tuition scholarship her senior year. She was stroke on the varsity 8 boat since the spring of her sophomore year. She won the hammer award for rowing the fastest 2K time on indoor machines. Her college career culminated in a win at the Henley Women's Regatta in England in 2010. (Westerly Sun Article)
Candice has joined SHS Crew as the Girl's Novice Coach for the 2011 season.
Catherine Schmitz, SHS '09 - Catherine writes: "I enjoyed my experience so much as an SHS Bear that I decided to continue the trend down the street as a CGA Bear! I am currently rowing with the U.S. Coast Guard Academy Women’s Varsity Team. During my freshmen year, I rowed in the first varsity boat during the Fall and Spring and again during the Fall of my Sophomore year. I am looking forward to a competitive spring season. At the Academy, I am currently studying Marine and Environmental Science with a focus in Chemistry and Biology."
Ethan Palmer, SHS '10 - Ethan writes: "I stroke the plebe (frosh) first boat at the United States Naval Academy, our fall season was a great sucsess, I am looking forward to entering the spring season in search of some shirts! (after a long winter training season on the ergs) heading down to Gainsville GA for some warmer weather and nice water on spring training, ready to kick off whats going to be a great season for Navy Crew. Hope to be home sometime this summer. Go NAVY!"
